FIRST Lego League: State Finals 2024

And we're off to States! We have had the honor of witnessing an exceptional showcase of the future of STEM, though participating as a judge and collaborator at the state-level FIRST Lego League Challenge State Championship here at our very own UMBC campus!

The FIRST Lego League Challenge provides an inspiring environment where kids immerse themselves in hands-on learning, diving into the worlds of robotics, mechanical engineering, and software development. The event doesn't just emphasize technical skills but also instills critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, essential traits in the STEM field.

FIRST Lego League robotics events serve as a remarkable platform that nurtures STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education for children across diverse age groups. It's a space where young minds are encouraged to explore, experiment, and learn through practical experiences, and create their very own Master Pieces.

The state championship becomes an arena where young innovators unveil their creativity, technical acumen, and collaborative spirit. It celebrates their dedication and enthusiasm for the realms of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Datamura feels privileged to be part of such an impactful event, where the future of STEM is being shaped by the bright and inquisitive minds of today. Congratulations to all winners, and a huge thank you the participants, volunteers, coaches, and parents that make FIRST Lego League possible!
